How We Ensure Your Pet Has the Best Stay Possible

Vaccines

Our primary concern at Whiskers Resort and Pet Spa is the happiness, health, and well-being of every one of our guests. The following vaccines are required to be current for all guests. We require that you contact your veterinarian and have them send over the current records before your pets visit. We require rabies, distemper, Bordetella, influenza, and a negative fecal exam.

New Client Assessment

Here at Whiskers, we have guests of every shape, size, color, and breed, walk through our doors, and we are dedicated to making sure they all have the best stay possible. To ensure this, we take many steps to set all our guests up for success. Starting with our New Client Assessment. The New Client Assessment ensures that your pet will be a good fit for our facility, whether it's for boarding or daycare. This is required for all new guests prior to boarding and daycare visits and is available for scheduling Monday-Friday.

Play Profile

Play Profiles, now included in our New Client Assessment, are how we evaluate each guest to see how they play and interact with others. For some guests, this may be a couple sniffs and then just hanging out, for others it’s jumping right into play and not wanting to stop, and everything in between. After the Play Profile, we enter notes on their record detailing how it went and what type of group your dog would most enjoy. We then send you an update via phone call or text to let you know how they did.

Play Groups

Our groups run twice daily, and are broken up into two rotations. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. If you would prefer your dog gets a specific rotation, let us know while dropping offand we’ll do our best to accommodate a specific rotation. Times can vary depending on the weather.

Spay and Neuter

We do not require a spay or neuter to participate in group play. If your dog is in heat, they will be required to stay home for the safety of all the dogs in our care.

Flea and Tick Preventative

We strongly recommend the use of regular flea and tick preventative. If a dog currently in our care has fleas, they will be moved to an isolated area and the owner will be contacted for pick up.
